Blood Donation Saves Lives

On May 30th 2015 we had our 2nd Annual RaysUp blood drive at The Maine Wildlife Park.  This drive was a huge success and captured "what I believe" to be the spirit of a RaysUp blood drive.  People gathered together enjoying each others company while giving back.  Kids running around the park having fun and my parents slinging burgers and dogs for everyone.  The day was perfect!  We were able to collect 55 units of blood on a goal of 45 - we destroyed it!

We sold t-shirts and had raffle prizes at this drive to help us raise money for our non-profit status.  I would like to thank our generous sponsors who donated prizes to our blood drive:  Cinemagic in Westbrook, Smitty's in Windham, Hannafords in Gray, Summit Adventures in Windham, Paintings by Artist Scott Chase, Peaceful Intentions Bundle from Julia Nason, 4 Sea Dog tickets form Cumberland County Federal Credit Union, doTerra Essential Oils bundle from Alison Rand & Car wash bundle from True Value in Gray.   We would also like to give a quick shout out to Bob the Screenprinter in Windham for always coming through on our shirts!

I personally would like to thank the amazing staff at The American Red Cross, Curt and the Maine Wildlife Park for everything that you have done for us & all of the supporters of blood donation and the RaysUp campaign!
