While in the hospital, time is not your friend when you aren't able do anything. There were many times I just found myself drifting in and out of sleep staring at the clock watching time pass by. My wife brought in my iPad, but I didnt have strength to lift it. I had a portable blu ray player (Thanks Chris!) but struggled using that and the TV remote was too heavy. My wife finally brought in my iPod classic and a sound dock!! Music is what I needed! Listening to music brought me back to so many great places, plus it made me have the "cool" room. All the nurses loved hanging out in my room. :) While I was in my coma, my wife played music for me. She played Queensryche, Dan Reed, Sully Erna, Colin Hay, Stevie Salas & Sammy Hagar. (these are the ones i remember) Hailey and Samantha also played some Disney Princess songs for me. Music has always been a big part of my life, and it was even more important while I was in the hospital. It was able to fill the spaces between visitors, sleep and helped my depression.
